For the last five years Tom has been a full time Lean/Agile Project Manager and Coach for ThoughtWorks and Tacit Knowledge. As an Agile Project Manager Tom’s clients have included Allstate Insurance, DestinyUSA, Washington Mutual Bank and Barclays Global Investing. As a Lean/Agile Coach, Tom pioneered the adoption of Agile development and project management practices as Director of Pharmacy Systems at Longs Drugs Stores. He has also coached project teams, programs and entire divisions for companies such as Kodak Gallery, Macys.com and Williams Sonoma. Prior to adopting Lean/Agile as his preferred software development methodology, Tom had diligently applied the waterfall software development lifecycle process and the Rational Unified Process on projects for clients including the New York City Police Department, the Fire Department of New York City, City of Chicago Police and Fire Departments, Wells Fargo Bank, Alameda County Courts and WetFeet.com. Tom’s years of experience in project management and hands on use of the Rational Unified Process, Lean, Agile and Theory of Constraints practices gives him a unique perspective on process effectiveness for delivering satisfying solutions to his clients.
